Interfaith MeditationsInterfaith Meditations

Before I was born, who was I?
After I am born, who am I? Respect yourself, and everyone will respect you.
Understand yourself, and everyone will understand you.
There are mirrors all around you:
Strive to see and understand yourself.
Stop doing bad things, only do good.
Do whatever you can to help others.
In these ways you help yourself.
Help yourself, and you help the world.

Imagine a family-based high level self-defense school, an international community club, a health center, a culture school , a professional meeting place, and a free church where all are welcomed, rolled up into one entity. That is basically who we are at C.A.I..

- We help provide charity, council, support and advice for those in need.
We are the only English Interfaith Chapel in Shizuoka, Japan.
We provide support and assistance to English speaking expats in Japan usually without friends and family.

- Our members and friends are of many different nations, cultures and faiths. We all have a common thread of peace, love, family, friends, preservation and quality of life. To respect ourselves and others.
In light of this we have an opportunity to learn.
At CAI We have interfaith studies and meetings in an effort to understand differences to promote peace and displace fear and ignorance.

F.Y.I. -
The term interfaith or interfaith dialogue refers to cooperative and positive interaction between people of different religious traditions, (ie. "faiths") at both the individual and institutional level with the aim of deriving a common ground in belief through a concentration on similarities between faiths.
It is distinct from syncretism or alternative religion, in that dialogue often involves promoting understanding between different religions to increase "tolerance" towards others, rather than to synthesize new beliefs. The history of religion shows that conflict has been more the state of affairs than dialogue. Most religious conflicts or divides were and are man-made or organized religion made. Splitting away from the core beliefs and becoming power and size obsessed and becoming more church in a material sense and less of in a group of people sense. Often less in God and fundamental goodness, kindness, love and human family and acceptance with care and support to ALL, not just your religion or church members.

Throughout the year, we will have special fund raising seminars to promote community charities, our community action club and emergency relief to areas of crisis around the world.

If you have a special request or know someone in need and would like us to assist in a fund raising seminar .
